Purpose

I have a passion for life. Sometimes that passion is a smiling,  joyful one and more often than I like to admit, it is rather discouraged. But here’s the thing. Regardless of which direction my passion heads, my purpose for living remains solid, firmly rooted.
Thankfully, the purpose outweighs the passion.
Thankfully the purpose is not ordained by me.
Thankfully the purpose for my life was designed, created, before I ever came on the scene.
Relief.
I am fully dependent upon the one who decided I should have a purpose. I don’t even want to try to do life on my own.
Regardless of what my hours look like, I trust in Him.
I am fearful
impatient
careless
worried
discouraged
unkind (shhh)
selfish
But the purpose never changes.
You see, God’s purpose for me is to glorify Him. I was created in His image. He sent His son to die for me so I could
live for Him.
Abundantly! Here! Now!
But, not only now!
For eternity!
So in the mire of life I keep my eyes on Him
He will never leave me to figure it out on my own.
He is the one with the everlasting arms and it is He who looks after me.
I am thankful even in the dark, because I know He is the light who makes the path visible, one step at a time.
