I am posting an email I received from Nano in 2005. I had asked her to please send me the Platz recipe Yet Again!! As always, she was Happy to do that and now I have the paper I printed it on, tucked into it recipe box. I can Decipher it, but will post it again in my own “handwriting” very soon. By the way!! I like the same crumb mixture that was her favourite. This recipe is nice done in a 9×13 cake pan. Be sure to use parchment that comes up the sides enough to be able to pull it out of the pan, once it’s cool.
It is delicious warm, served plain or with ice cream. It is also delicious served cold, with whipping cream. You can decide which is your favourite.
